In 2014 Amanda was the executive producer on a three-part drama for ITV, THE WIDOWER written by Jeff Pope, starring Recce Sheersmith and Sheridan Smith and directed by Paul Whittington. Before that ‘The Girl’ for HBO/BBC written by Gwyneth Hughes, directed by Julian Jarrold and starring Toby Jones, Sienna Miller and Imelda Staunton. It has been nominated for three Golden Globes, eight BAFTAs and six Primetime Emmys.
She also produced ‘Mysterious Creatures’, starring Brenda Blethyn and Timothy Spall, written by Gwyneth Hughes winner of the mental health media award 2008 and ‘The Grey Man’ an adaptation of a short story by Andy McNab starring Daniel Ryan and Olivia Coleman for BBC1.
Amanda’s previous film ‘An Englishman In New York’ starring John Hurt, Cynthia Nixon and Denis O'Hare won a Teddy Award for best actor at Berlin Film Festival, and Best Film at Hamburg. It was also nominated for three BAFTAs and was short-listed for a Rose D’Or for Best Single Film.
Nadine has extensive drama experience in both film and television. She was the Development Executive on ‘An Englishman in New York’ and the Executive Producer of ‘The Grey Man’.
Prior to this she was an Executive Producer at BBC Drama Scotland for several years, her credits there include ‘Two Thousand Acres of Sky’ and BAFTA-winning‘Sea of Souls’. And More recently JOE ALL ALONE a four-part series for the BBC 2018.
Nadine has been involved with numerous award winning dramas and her feature film credits include BAFTA-nominated ‘Bhaji On The Beach’ written by Meera Syal and directed by Gurinder Chadha; ‘Looking for Langston’ written and directed by Isaac Julien and ‘Young Soul Rebels’, winner of the Semaine de la Critique du Festival, Cannes and a Teddy award at Berlin, written by Paul Hallam and Isaac Julien and directed by Isaac Julien.
